Airmen and Airwomen can choose from a wide range of support roles to specialized
technical roles. Airmen and Airwomen make up the majority of personnel in the Sri Lanka
Air Force, bringing in their specialist skills to provide vital support roles such as
Engineering and Technical, Force Protection, Logistics, Personnel Administration,
Medical Support and Intelligence.
The Command Recruiting Officer will ascertain the number of vacancies available in
respective Trades which require to be fulfilled.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Six (06) Passes at the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than two sittings, including a Simple (S) pass in Sinhala or Tamil language.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Passes in 06 subjects at the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than two sittings including a Simple (S) pass in Sinhala / Tamil and English language
or
Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exam or Cambridge International Ordinary Level exams: Passes in 06 subjects including English in not more than two sittings.
Possession of NVQ Level qualification / Technical college certificate and work experience in relevant fields is an added advantage.
SPECIAL NOTE
- Candidates who are applying with Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or Cambridge International Ordinary Level exams without a Simple pass for Sinhala or Tamil language should obtain pass grading for Sinhala or Tamil language within 05 years from the date of enlistment.
