Description
The Safety Equipment Technician is a specialized aeronautical tradesman responsible for the inspection, maintenance, servicing of safety gears and survival equipment to ensure operational readiness of aircraft. This includes ejection seats, parachutes, life-saving gear and aircrew survival systems. The safety equipment trade is critical in ensuring aircrew safety, survivability, and emergency preparedness, directly contributing to flight safety and mission assurance within the Sri Lanka Air Force. Safety Equipment Technicians operate within flying formations and specialized workshops in engineering formations under the supervision of supervision of Aeronautical Engineering officers.
