ABOUT THE PROVOST AIRMEN/AIRWOMEN

a. Description about the Provost Airmen/Airwomen: SLAF Police personnel are enlisted members responsible for enforcing discipline, maintaining law and order. The Police personnel operate under the direction of Provost Officers and form the ground level enforcement arm of Air Force policing.

b. Duties and responsibilities: The duties include manning the Guard Rooms of SLAF establishments, conducting patrols, checking identification and access control, conducting investigations, apprehending offenders and absent personnel, maintaining Law/order among personnel and conducting ceremonial Police duties.

GCE O/L REQUIREMENTS

Passes in 06 subjects at the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than two sittings including Simple (S) passes in Sinhala / Tamil, Mathematics and English language
or
Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exam or Cambridge International Ordinary Level exams: Passes in 06 subjects including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

Priority will be given to males those who measure 5’ 8” above in height respectively.
