SLAF Athlete Corporal Liyanarachchi Wins Silver 7th CISM Games
Sri Lanka Air Force female athlete Corporal Nimali Liyanarachchi won a Silver medal in Women's 800 metres event at the 7th CISM World Military Games held at the Wuhan China on 23 October 2019.
Leading athletes from countries such as Ukraine, Bahrain, Barbados, Kenya, Romania, United States participated in this final event.
Nimali Liyanarachchi (2:06:14) was awarded the silver medal while Ukraine athlete Pryshchepa Nataliia (2:05:14) took the gold and Korir Nelly (2:06:50) from Bahrain won the bronze.
