• NCO Management School

  The Non-Commission Officers' (NCO) Management School at SLAF Academy China Bay established on 01 September 2000 is a prominent training formation that is mainly devoted to developing leadership qualities and managerial skills of the NCOs there by enabling them to work efficiently to achieve predetermined objectives of the Air Force and other sister services.

  Irrespective of the trades they performed, the NCOs are to undergo 14 weeks of full-time residential training at the school to groom them to cater for current and foreseeable requirements of military forces. The trainees will undergo military subjects as well as academic subjects. The military subjects are aimed to develop leadership qualities of NCO's to transform them in to proficient leaders to command their subordinates. In line with military subjects, academic subjects are aimed to equip the students with sound Management theoretical/practical knowledge and related skills. As such, the NCO's will be able to apply what they learned successfully in managing the human resource in the tri services context through. The intended learning outcomes of these subjects are to identify the nature and scope of management, to demonstrate theoretical knowledge of management, to identify the current management trends/practices and to enhance their skills of analyzing real world situations and issues.

  Further, the courses conducted by the school is effective enough to refine the qualities of NCO's and to equip them with the necessary management techniques to perform well during their remaining service tenures.
