Pazmany PL2 Aircraft
Sri Lanka Air Force's own locally manufactured aircraft is the result of years of hard work in designing, manufacturing and test flying.

Pazmany PL2 aircraft project was started in year 1977 and the aircraft made its maiden test flight on 11th April 1980. This twin seater aircraft has taken part in many a fly-past since entering the Sri Lanka Air Force service.

Pazmany PL2 aircraft was built by the Aircraft Engineering Wing of the Sri Lanka Air Force, under the personal supervision of Wing Commander N. Gunarathnam. This was the first instance in the history that an aircraft has been completely built in Sri Lanka.
