SLAF JAVELIN THROWER CALLS ON THE COMMANDER PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FOR WORLD THROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025

SLAF Javelin thrower, Aircraftman Tharanga PR, who recently established a new National Record, called on the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, at Air Force Headquarters yesterday (18 August 2025) prior to his departure to represent Sri Lanka at the World Throwing Championships 2025 in Mokpo, South Korea.
The prestigious championship is scheduled to be held on 21 and 22 August 2025, where Aircraftman Tharanga will compete among top international athletes.
During the courtesy call, the Commander commended Aircraftman Tharanga on his remarkable achievement in setting a new National Record and extended his best wishes for continued success at the upcoming championships.
