Non-Resident Defence Attaché of the Embassy of  France to Sri Lanka, based in New Delhi, Colonel Emmanuel Peltriaux  and French Maritime Safety and Security Advisor at the Embassy of France, Lieutenant Commander Florian Bouveno called on the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera.

The No.05 Air Defence Radar Squadron at SLAF Station Palavi celebrated its 19th Anniversary today (24 May 2026). The Celebration commenced with the customary working parade, which was reviewed by the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Gangana Lenora. 

SLAF Base Vavuniya declared open its newly relocated Officers’ holiday facility, “Eagles’ Perch Driftwood Cabana,” during a ceremony held today (23 May 2026). The opening was officiated by the Base Commander of SLAF Base Vavuniya, Group Captain Chandana Ratnayake.
