PARACHUTE TRAINING SCHOOL AT SLAF REGIMENTAL TRAINING CENTRE AMPARA CELEBRATES 24TH ANNIVERSARY

The SLAF Parachute Training School, SLAF RTC Ampara proudly celebrated its 24th Anniversary today (15 July 2026). Initially, the Parachute Training School was established on 15 July 2002 at SLAF Base Katunayake in view of conducting Basic and Advanced parachute training for Officers, Airmen / Airwomen of SLAF.

NEW COMMAND MASTER WARRANT OFFICER TAKES OVER DUTIES

Master Warrant Officer MWCS Kumara assumed duties as the new Command Master Warrant Officer (CMWO) of the SLAF, succeeding Master Warrant Officer M Damith, under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, today (15 July 2026) at Air Force Headquarters.

The Annual Air Force Christian Commemorative Service, where the Air Force remembers and appreciates those who laid down their lives in the name of service and the nation, was held at St. John Dal Bastone Church, Pelawatte today (14 July 2026).
