In response to a request from the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) in Badulla, the Disaster Assistance and Response Team (DART), from the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, comprising one officer and 20 airmen, successfully controlled a large-scale forest fire in the Ella, Kubalwela and Dowa forest area on both 04 and 05 July 2026.
