The outgoing Defence Attaché of the High Commission of Pakistan in Sri
Lanka, Colonel Muhammad Farooq, paid a farewell call on the Commander of
the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe today (24 July 2026) at
Air Force Headquarters.
In accordance with the directives of the Commander of the Air Force and
the Director General Air Operations, SLAF Base Vavuniya conducted a
scenario Bases Operational Flying and Ground Training Exercise yesterday
(22 July 2026) under the guidance of the Base Commander, Group Captain
Chandana Ratnayake.
The SLAF Karate Team delivered an outstanding performance at the 10th South Asian Karate Championship, organized by the South Asian Karate Federation (SAKF) and held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from 14 to 21 July 2026.
Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
