A special tree planting campaign “Wings over Kapruka” was officially initiated by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe yesterday (10 April 2026) with a planting of a coconut tree at SLAF Base Katunayake. The progrmme was conducted to plant coconut seedlings in four acres of land at Bandarawaththa SLAF Base Katunayake.  

The Graduation Ceremony of the No. 81 Junior Command and Staff Course was held yesterday (10 April 2026) at the auditorium of the Junior Command and Staff College, SLAF Academy China Bay.

The Sri Lanka Air Force Awurudu Pola was successfully held today (10 April 2026) at the Athletics Ground of SLAF Base Katunayake, in view of the forthcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year celebrations.
