The Graduation Ceremony of the No. 80 Junior Command and Staff Course was held yesterday (08 December 2025) at the auditorium of the Junior Command and Staff College, SLAF Academy China Bay. The event marked the successful conclusion of a comprehensive 14-week academic program attended by 24 Officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force, one Officer from the Bangladesh Navy and one Officer from Bangladesh Air Force.

The Director General Air Operations, Air Vice Marshal Dhammika Dias graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.

In his address to the graduates, Air Vice Marshal Dias highlighted the significance of continuous learning and the need for Officers to adapt to the rapidly evolving characteristics of modern warfare. He emphasized the importance of integrity, professionalism and dedicated service, reminding the graduates that future conflicts demand intellectual flexibility, technological awareness, and strong joint operational understanding. He commended the officers for their perseverance throughout this academically rigorous and professionally demanding course, acknowledging their contributions to strengthening future multi-domain operations. Extending heartfelt congratulations to the graduates of Course No. 80, Air Vice Marshal Dias wished them success as they take on greater responsibilities in their respective services.
