SLAF WOMEN’S TEAM WINS DEFENCE SERVICE ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP
The SLAF Women’s Team emerged as Champions at the Defence Service Archery Championship. The Tournament was held from the 20th to 21st of March 2021 at SLN Hockey Ground Welisara. During the tournament SLAF Women’s Team Defeated both Army and Navy teams showing the highest degree of team spirit and talents.
Leading Aircraftwomen Kumarihami WGCP and Leading Aircraftwomen Ariyarathne DSL became winners of individual events.
The Commandant of the Volunteer Naval Forces, Rear Admiral KAS Uthpala grazed the occasion as the Chief Guest for the Prize Awarding Ceremony. Chairman of SLAF Archery, Air Commodore HU Wijeyaweera a cross section of Officers and Other Ranks from the Tri-Forces were also present for the finals.
