Visual Screening Campaign and Eye Clinic - SLAF Station Mullativu

Celebrating the 61st Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force, the Commanding Officer and all personnel of SLAF Station Mullativu organized a “Visual Screening Campaign and Eye Clinic” at the Vidyananda Vidyala, Mullaveli to provide assistance to students with visual difficulties.
Accepting the invitation of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Ophthalmologist Consultant Dr. Saman Senanayake and his medical staff from the Teaching Hospital in Kandy participated and extended their fullest cooperation to make this community service a success.
Approximately 1,000 students of Vidyananda Vidyalaya and Vattappalai Maha Vidyalaya participated in the clinic and nearly 50 students were identified for the treatments.
The principal and teaching staff of the Vidyananda Vidyalaya expressed their sincere gratitude to SLAF Mullative for organizing the event. They were also on hand to present SLAF Mullative with a memento of appreciation to mark this special event.
