The visiting Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt called on  the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, Mr. Gotabaya  Rajapaksa , Chief of Defence  Staff General Jagath  Jayasooriya, the Commander of the Sri Lanka Army and the Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy today(28 August 2014).

The Chief of the Air Staff was received upon arrival at the respective headquarters by the Army and Navy Commanders and was afforded a Guard of Honour at both headquarters.

Mementos were exchanged between the visiting Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt and the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence and Urban Development, Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Chief of Defence  Staff General Jagath  Jayasooriya and the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General  Daya Rathnayaka  and between Commander of the Navy  Vice  Admiral Jayantha Perera  to mark this occasion.
