The Air Force Ground Element based at the Special Operations Group Trincomalee, commanded by Wing Commander Indika Weerarathna conducting a clearance operation last morning (19 January 2010) in the general area of 'Kandalkadu' (GR 4758 of the 1.50000 Trincomalee MGM) recovered a qty of 59, 82 mm Mortar bombs, qty 33 Cartridges, qty 68 Fuse, and few other tools used for 82 mm Mortar guns that may have been hidden by the LTTE few months back.
