Certificate Awarding Ceremony of Sri Lanka Air force Station Sigiriya

The certificate awarding ceremony of Catering Assistants and Ground Stewards (Re-mustered)Basic Course (01/2015) was held at the Hospitality Management School, Sri Lanka Air force Station Sigiriya on the 21th of July 2015.

The ceremony marked the completion of a 10-week Basic training programme where the Catering assistants focused on Hygiene, Kitchen Arrangements, Menu Planning, Eastern & Western Cookery, Preparation of Desserts, and Preparation of Sauces & Pastries. The Ground Stewards focused on Hygiene, Responsibilities of Ground Stewards, Documentation of the Officers` Mess, House Keeping, Handling of VIP, VVIP Functions, and Bar Operations.

The Commanding Officer Equipment Provisioning Accounting Unit – Katunayake, Air Commodore JR Hemasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Officers and Other ranks of the station were also present.

58 Basic Trainees from No 01/2015 Catering Assistants and Ground Stewards (Re- mustered) Basic Course were awarded the certificates at the occasion.  The Trophy for the best student of the Catering Assistants (Re-mustered) basic course was awarded to 021775 LAC Kasthuriarachchi KAS & the best student of the Ground Stewards (Re mustered) basic course was awarded to 42450 Rathnayake RMSS.
