Japan Donates a Fire Engine to SLAF

The ceremony of handing over the " Hazmat Fire Engine " to the Sri Lanka Air Force through Japan Sri Lanka Friendship Association was held at AFHQ today(16 Jan 2017). The delegation ceremonially handed over the document pertaining to the  vehicle to the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy during the ceremony.

A special cultural programme was held at AFHQ in appreciation of the donation, with the objective of making it a memorable event for the Japanese delegation.

The delegation included members of the Japan Sri Lanka Friendship Association,Member of Parliament Buddhika Pathirana and Japanese well-wishers of the association.

Board of Management of the SLAF, Officers and others ranks also witnessed the event.  

 

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
