SLAF men’s Basketball team, the reigning National and Defence Services Basketball Champions, left the Island for Bangladesh to take part in a series of matches with the BAF counterparts inline with the BAF/ SLAF Sport Exchange programme. Cpl Dadangoda R, who is also a former vice Captain of the National Basketball Team, leads the team while the head of the delegation is Wg Cdr WAPH Perera.

Earlier this year in May 2017, the BAF Hockey team visited Sri Lanka inagurating the Sports Exchange programme between the two Air Forces and this is the first sports tour for the SLAF team for 2017.
