Station Colombo Wins Inter Unit Squash Championship 2019

SLAF Station Colombo won the Inter Unit Squash Championship 2019 defeating the Tech Formations Team from SLAF Base Ratmalana at the Squash Court Complex at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana, yesterday (28th October 2019).
The Champion SLAF Station Colombo team consisted of Air Commodore HU Wijayaweera Group Captain DRW Jayawardane, Wing Commander LMCB Nissanka, Flight Sergeant Silva DCA, Flight Sergeant Silva MWBS, Corporal Weerasinghe WDCPK and Leading Aircraftman Gunarathne APBSS
The Director Aeronautical Engineering, Air Vice Marshal MD Ratnayake graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Director Sports, Air Commodore IK Weerarathne, Chairman SLAF Squash, Air Commodore SD Kotage, Officers and Other ranks were present at this event.
The Open tournament was conducted under five categories, namely Men's over 35, Men's over 45, Men's Open, Men's Novices and Women's Open. The results of the open tournament are as follows:
