SLAF Hospital Colombo Conducts Well Women Clinic

A “Well Woman Clinic” was held at Sri Lanka Air Force Hospital Colombo yesterday (1st November 2019) in collaboration with the MOH office of the area with the participation of Airwomen, spouses of service personnel and female civil employers of the Air Force.

This Programme, initiated on a concept of the Director of Health services, is aimed at enhancing the health standards of service personnel, civil employers and their families. The main objective of the clinic was to provide specialized consultation in order to uplift the gynecological health standards in families of the Air Force personnel.

This program offered a free and confidential health service for all women. The service was provided by experienced Women's Health Nurses of the area MOH Office and SLAF, for women who don’t have symptoms but would like a women’s health checkup.

The program was carried out under the supervision of Commanding Officer Hospital, Group Captain PAV Padmaperuma and conducted by consultant community physician, Wing Commander R Busso, Medical Officer Health (MOH) of the area, Dr. (Mrs.) D Hettihelage, Consultant VOG, Dr. Sisira Costa and Consultant Physician, Dr. (Mrs.) LJ Jayaweera.
