SLAF conducts Bee Farming Development Program

Under the directives of the Commander of the Air Force, an awareness and training program for the development of Bee Farming in Sri Lanka Air Force was conducted today (2nd November 2019) at SLAF Base Katunayake with the participation of approximately 300 service personnel representing all Air Force establishments.

The program was organized by the Command Agro Unit with the mediation of Group Captain Nalin De Silva (retired) and in collaboration with Ceylon Bee Honey (Pvt) Ltd. The objective of the program was providing the opportunity for service personnel to enjoy pure nutritious herbal product and to protect the environment and biodiversity of the country.


Sri Lanka Air Force, is the only aerial arm among the Sri Lanka Armed Forces, responsible for defending the nation's airspace and supporting its sister services for all kind of operations.
