The orientation course for No.8 Defence Services Command and Staff Course commenced on 2 December 2019 at the Junior Command and Staff College, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay.

The Opening Address was conducted by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain SDGM Silva. The Senior Instructor and all the other Directing Staff also briefed the Student Officers about important aspects of the Course. The course of training is scheduled for two weeks (2 December 2019 to 14 December 2019), and a total of 27 officers are taking part in the training.
