172 Returnees Released from SLAF Quarantine Centre at Iranamadu

172 passengers who returned from overseas arrived at the SLAF Quarantine Centre at Iranamadu on the 20th of March 2020. This Quarantine Centre operated by the Sri Lanka Air Force was established on the instructions of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sumangala Dias.

The entire operation of this Quarantine Centre was managed by SLAF Station Iranamadu under the supervision of the Commanding Officer, Group Captain UPYR Pathirana.

During their stay in Iranamadu, the passengers were provided with all meals, essential items including 4G internet as well. The passengers were monitored on a 24 hour basis by SLAF Medical personnel in order to maintain and make sure to be free from infection of COVID-19.The passengers will return to their homes where they will have to undergo two more weeks of self-quarantine.
