No 6 Air Defence Radar Squadron at China Bay Celebrates 11th Anniversary

No 6 Air Defence Radar Squadron (ADRS) at SLAF Academy China Bay celebrated its 11th Anniversary yesterday (15 October 2020) under the leadership of the Commanding Officer, Wing Commander Sumedha Halahakoon.

In keeping with customs, the anniversary celebration began at the Radar Squadron premises with the arrival of the Commandant of the SLAF Academy, Air Vice Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa. A Volley Ball Tournament was also conducted with the participation of Officers and all personnel. The anniversary day was concluded with an All Ranks Lunch.

Further, a Road Worthiness Test of the Radar vehicles (Type-Volvo) and antenna repainting of YLC-18M Radar was carried out from 11 to 14 October 2020 at SLAF Academy China Bay.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
