Ranaviru Real Star, the latest reality TV sensation in the island, which gives armed forces personnel a claim to fame on the musical stage, has reached the gates of Sri Lanka Air Force.

A massive 531 competitors were referred to the SLAF Station Ekala on 6 October 2010 where famous singer Rajeev Sebastian gave a brief introduction of presenting talent on stage.

During the following week from 6th to 13th October several rounds of eliminations were held at SLAF Ekala where the final competitors were narrowed down to 75.

As the show hopes to showcase the best singing talent in the Armed Forces of Sri Lanka the final elimination took place at SLAF Museum on 18th and 19th of October.

The participants had to face the ‘final cut’, in front of a judging panel comprising of Mr. Perera, Mr. Morris Wijesinghe and Mr. Ranjan Ariyadasa, which saw 38 being chosen which included 32 male and 6 female contestants.
