The three primary technical support formations based at SLAF Base Katunayake, the Aeronautical Engineering Wing (AEW), General Engineering Wing (GEW) and Motor Transport Repair and Overhaul Wing (MTROW) jointly comemorated their 32nd anniversary on 3 January, 2011.
The anniversary comemorative activty took the form of social responsibilty activity including a donation of chairs and lunch for 33 children at the Dr. B.S. Jayewardene Boys Development Centre in Weligampitiya, Ja-Ela. This was followed by a shramadhana program at the premises of the center.
