129 LOCAL AND TWO FOREIGN NCOS RECEIVED CERTIFICATE IN MANAGEMENT

The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of No. 20 English Medium and No.91 Sinhala Medium Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management Courses was held on 13 August 2023 at the NCO Management School, SLAF Academy China Bay under the patronage of the Director General Administration Air Cdre KMK Keppetipola as the Chief Guest.
The core purpose behind these courses is to imbue Non-Commissioned Officers of the Tri-Forces with robust academic acumen, efficient managerial skills, and honed leadership traits. Spanning a comprehensive syllabus spread over 14 weeks, these courses are a testament to the commitment to excellence upheld by the participants. Affiliated with the University of Rajarata, the courses culminated in the bestowment of Management Certificates to eligible Non-Commissioned Officers.
The No. 20 English Medium and No.91 Sinhala Medium comprised 67 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers and 57 Junior Non-Commissioned Officers from the SLAF, 04 Junior Non-Commissioned Officers from the SL Army and 01 Senior Non-Commissioned Officer from the SL Navy, 01 Senior Non-Commissioned Officer from Zambian Air Force and 01 Senior Non Commissioned Officer from Bangladesh Air Force. At the Ceremony, 131 awardees received certificates to mark the successful completion of the courses.
Recognizing excellence and dedication, Sergeant Rathnayake RMCRK (Accounts Assistant) and Corporal Nishan KA (Provost) shone as the Best All-Rounders among the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer and Junior Non-Commissioned Officer of the No. 20 English Medium course. Meanwhile, Flight Sergeant Wijekoon WMPCB (Admin Assistant) and Corporal Ekanayake VC (SL ARMY) earned well-deserved accolades as the Best All-Round Senior Non-Commissioned Officer and Junior Non-Commissioned Officer respectively in the No. 91 Sinhala Medium Course.
