THE CHANGE OF COMMAND OF SLAF STATION COLOMBO

The change of command of SLAF Station Colombo was held today (25 October 2023) at the Station premises. The handing over/ taking over parade was conducted at the Station where the outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore PSN Fernando RSP, MDS, MA (Sec Stu - USA), psc handed over the command to Air Commodore C Wickramaratne RWP, USP, MDS, MA (Sec Stu-USA), ndc (Pak), psc.
The outgoing Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Suresh Fernando will take over the appointment of acting Director General Welfare subsequently at Air Force Headquarters. The new acting Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Chaminda Wickramaratne has been appointed to command of SLAF Station Colombo while holding Provost Marshal appointment at Air Force Headquarters.
