SLAF SEVA VANITHA UNIT EXTENDS HELPING HANDS TO THE KARAVILAYAYA MAHA VIDYALAYA - EMBILIPITIYA

A special donation program was organized at Karavilayaya Maha Vidyalaya in Embilipitiya yesterday (02 November 2023), by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit. This school is located in a rural area in the Ratnapura district and receiving education approximately 400 students. These children face significant challenges in meeting their basic educational needs due to financial constraints.
In response to this situation, the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, initiated and coordinated this donation programme. Renowned YouTubers, Mr. Ranga Jayakodi and Mr. Chamal Rathnayake, also known as "Janai Priyai," collaborated with the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit to provide generous donations, which included school shoes, school bags, exercise books, lunch boxes, water bottles and more. Additionally, in response to the Principal's request for assistance to support needy children, some library books and dancing costumes for the school's aesthetic section were also donated.
The event was attended by Squadron Leader Viludani Yatawara, Secretary of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit along with Mr. Ranga Jayakodi, Mr. Chamal Rathnayake, members of the Seva Vanitha Unit, the Principal, teachers and the students.
