In celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force under the theme "Wings of Friendship," the SLAF has initiated a project to refurbish and enhance the infrastructure of 73 selected schools across the Northern and Eastern Provinces. As part of this initiative, SLAF Station Iranamadu has contributed to the renovation of twelve underprivileged schools in the region. The Ceremonial Handing over and Opening Ceremony of Alagapuri Primary School in Ramanadapuram took place today (26 April 2024).

The event commenced with the unveiling of the renovated and newly colourwashed kitchen building. Squadron Leader BMPI Balasooriya, the Acting Commanding Officer, graced the ceremony as the chief guest, accompanied by officers and other ranks from SLAF Station Iranamadu. Among the attendees were also the school Principal, dedicated teaching staff and students from Alagapuri Primary School in Ramanadapuram.
