NCOs Management School Of SLAF Celebrates Its 11th Anniversary

The Non-Commissioned Officers’ Management School of Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay celebrated its 11th anniversary on the 1st September 2011. The celebration was marked by the following events.

a.    A Seth Pirith Chanting ceremony at the NCOS’ Management School auditorium, conducted by the Chief Incumbent of the China Bay temple.
b.    A donation of Stationary and school items to the Revatha children’s orphanage at 5th mile post China Bay.
c.    A Volley ball tournament, held at the gymnasium of the Academy.

Air Chief Marshal Jayalath Weerakkody, whose brain child this school was, all past Commanders, Commanding Officers and the present Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama were commemorated for their tremendous support in maintaining and uplifting the standard of this school. Exactly 2844 non-commissioned officers have passed out so far from this school in 46 batches.
 
Wing Commander TVD Deshapriya, the Commanding Officer of the NCOS’ Management School along with his DS panel and the Staff were instrumental in organising this year’s celebrations. The 47th batch of SNCOS and JNCOS actively participated in this event. The ceremony was made more memorable with the patronage of the Acting Commandant of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay Group Captain Prasanna Ranasinghe.
