Ishara Madurangi of the Sri Lanka Air Force became champion in three categories at the All Island Open Table Tennis Tournament which concluded recently at the Jagath Rajapaksha International Table Tennis Complex at Kandy. The tournament which was organized by the Kandy TT Federation attracted over 500 participants.

Talented Ishara participated in the single, double and mixed double events which she won without many difficulties. In the single event she defeated the leading player Erandi Warusawithana and in the double event with team partner Mouli Pieris, she defeated Ruhansi Wijekoon and Shrimali Wijerathna who also represented the SLAF. In the mixed double finals, Ishara Madurangi  and Rohan Sirisena defeated SLAF’s Milinda Lakshitha and Shanika Silva.

Ishara was also adjudged the best female player of the tournament.
