The 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Fellowship Lunch of the SLAF Ex-Servicemen’s Association (SLAFESA) were held on August 15, 2026, at the Eagles' Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall in Attidiya.

The event commenced with over 800 members in attendance, including Senior Officers, Officers, and other ranks. Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and was warmly received by the Association's President, Air Vice Marshal Hemantha Zoysa (Retd), along with the executive board. Director Generals of the Air Force Board of Management, coordinating Officers, former Presidents of the association, and several distinguished guests also attended.

* Treasurer: Mr.Mohan Kumara

* Vice Presidents: Air Commodore Amal Wimalaratne, Mr.Henry Fernando, and Mr.Dayawansha

* Additional Appointments: 2 Assistant Secretaries, 2 Assistant Treasurers, and 9 Executive Committee Members were also elected.

Key Highlights

* Official Theme Song Launch: Marking a historic milestone, the association officially unveiled its inaugural theme song during the ceremony.

* Fundraiser for Holiday Resort: A special raffle draw was held to raise funds for the association's proposed new holiday resort, with prizes awarded to the winners on the same day.

The newly elected executive committee reaffirmed its commitment to advancing key welfare initiatives, including the 'Sky Legacy' hero tribute, the 'Sewa Piyasa' project, and disaster relief financial aid, ensuring continued support for members and their families.

The association extends its heartfelt gratitude to honored guests and all members who joined to celebrate and strengthen the bond of comradeship.
