INTER UNIT ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP 2022
The Inter Unit Archery Championship - 2022 was held at SLAF Base Katunayake on 12, 13, and 14 September 2022. The awarding ceremony took place at Sports Ground Katunayake with the graceful presence by Director Civil Engineering, Air Vice Marshal HWMU Wijesinghe as the Chief Guest.
The Men’s Championship was clinched by SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa whilst the Women’s Championship was secured by Supply & Maintenance Depot team of SLAF Base Katunayake. SLAF Trade Training School Ekala emerged as the runners-up in Men’s category and SLAF Base Vavuniya for Women’s category. Flight Sergeant Priyantha RDN from SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa bagged the Gold medals for the Men’s 18m and 30m individual events and Sergeant Fernando WNM from Technical Formation at SLAF Base Katunayake won a Gold medal for the 18m Women’s individual event.
