The SLAF Shooting Team delivered an outstanding performance at the IPSC Sharp Shooter Championship 2025, securing a total of five gold, four silver and four bronze medals. The event was organized by the Hill Country Sports Shooting Club and held from 08 to 11 May 2025 at the Hill Country Sports Shooting Range in Hanthana, Kandy.

Recognized as a Level III competition by the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC), this championship also served as a national selection trial to identify top shooters to represent Sri Lanka in international competitions for 2025/2026. The tournament witnessed the participation of over 250 top-level shooters from 15 leading shooting clubs across the country, including the Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Police.

The SLAF Shooting Team comprising one officer, 13 airmen and 10 airwomen competed across three main categories.

The awards ceremony took place on 11 May 2025 at the shooting range, graced by the presence of Acting Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasooriya as the Chief Guest.
