One-day Leadership Development Programme was successfully conducted at SLAF Combat Training School (CTS) Diyatalawa on 09 July 2025 for the undergraduates of Department of Finance, faculty of Management and Finance, University of Ruhuna. A total of 45 undergraduates enthusiastically participated in the programme, which was coordinated by the Commanding Officer of SLAF CTS Diyatalawa, Air Commodore Rukman Dassanayake.
                        
In response to a request made by the University of Ruhuna, the programme was conducted by officer instructors and the other instructors of the School. The programme was commenced after the address by the Officer Commanding Training, Group Captain Wasantha Lakshman and the training programme was supervised by Chief Instructor of Cadet Training, Wing Commander LRTPB Senevirathne.

The participants engaged in a variety of well-structured activities including leadership and motivational lectures, team-building exercises, and confidence-building sessions. These dynamic and interactive modules were designed to help participants develop their critical thinking, resilience, and effective communication- essential traits for successful leadership.

The programme concluded on a high note, with participants expressing their appreciation for the valuable exposure and practical learning experience provided by the SLAF CTS Diyatalawa.
