No. 70 Intake Officer Cadets and No. 22 Intake Lady Officer Cadets successfully completed their Basic Ground Combat Course at the SLAF Combat Training School, Diyatalawa, on 28 January 2026.

The Commanding Officer of the SLAF Combat Training School, Diyatalawa, Group Captain Lalith Sugathadasa, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Officer Commanding Training, Group Captain Wasantha Lakshman, along with other officers and instructors, were also present at the ceremony.

A total of 36 Officer Cadets from the No. 70 Intake Officer Cadets and No. 22 Intake Lady Officer Cadets passed out from the Combat Training School, marking a significant milestone in their military careers.

Addressing the cadets during the Closing Ceremony, the Commanding Officer congratulated them on the successful completion of the Basic Ground Combat Course. He emphasized that this achievement marks a vital step in their military careers and extended his best wishes to all cadets for the successful completion of the remainder of their training programme.
