SLAF COMBAT TRAINING SCHOOL DIYATALAWA CONDUCTS TWO-DAY LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAMME
A two-day Leadership Development Programme was successfully conducted at the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, from 31 July 2026 to 01 August 2026 with the participation of 59 Prefects from St. Joshap's College, Bandarawela.

The programme was conducted at the request of St. Joshap's College and was coordinated by the Commanding Officer SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, Group Captain Lalith Sugathadasa. The programme   was conducted by officer instructors and other instructors of the school. The programme was commenced after the address by the Officer Commanding Training, Group Captain Wasantha Lakshman and the programme was supervised by the Recruit Training-I Squadron Leader Udara Wijayarathne.

Throughout the programme, the prefects engaged in physical training, decision-making exercises, leadership games, group discussions and motivational sessions. These activities were aimed at developing discipline, resilience, leadership and communication skills. As part of the programme, an ‘Evening Campfire’ was also conducted to provide a platform for participants to showcase their talents and strengthen camaraderie in a relaxed and joyful environment.

The programme concluded on a positive note, with all participants gaining valuable experiences, enhanced leadership qualities and cherished memories of their time at SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa.
