No. 71 Intake Officer Cadets and No. 23 Intake Lady Officer Cadets successfully completed their Basic Ground Combat Course at the SLAF Combat Training School, Diyatalawa, today (11 June 2026) marking a significant milestone in their military careers.

The Acting Commanding Officer and the Officer Commanding Training of the SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa, Group Captain Wasantha Lakshman graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. All the Officers and Instructors, were also present at the ceremony.

Addressing the cadets during the Closing Ceremony, the Acting Commanding Officer congratulated the cadets on completing the Basic Ground Combat Course, noting it as a key step in their careers and wished every cadets success in completing the rest of their training.
