CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY OF NO. 33 METHODS OF INSTRUCTION COURSE HELD AT SLAF TRADE TRAINING SCHOOL, EKALA
The Certificate Awarding Ceremony of the No. 33 Methods of Instruction Course (MIC) was held today (24 December 2025) at the Sri Lanka Air Force Trade Training School (TTS), Ekala.

A total of 52 instructors successfully completed the course, which commenced on 28 March 2025 and concluded on 24 December 2025. The programme focused on enhancing advanced instructional techniques and professional development, aimed at further strengthening the instructional capabilities of Sri Lanka Air Force instructors.

The ceremony was graced by the Director Flight Safety and Base Commander SLAF Base Ratmalana, Air Commodore SD Jayaweera as the Chief Guest.

Also present at the event were the Director Trade Training and the Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Air Commodore AKKR Abeysinghe, the Officer-in-Charge of Specialized Training, Wing Commander AV Wijekoon, Formation Commanding Officers, Senior Officers of TTS Ekala, the Training Wing Warrant Officer, the Warrant Officer in Charge of Specialized Training, and other Master Instructors.

The Methods of Instruction Course was first introduced in 2005 and, since its inception, TTS Ekala has produced more than 500 MIC-qualified instructors, contributing significantly towards enhancing the professional instructional standards of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

During the ceremony, the under-training instructors were awarded certificates and MIC badges, marking the successful completion of the course and their readiness to undertake instructional duties at an advanced professional level.
