In commemoration of World Children’s Day, a special programme for children was held on 03 October 2015 at the Air Force Museum at Ratmalana, under the distinguished patronage of Chairperson SLAF SVU Mrs.Samanthi Bulathsinghala.

More than 250 children attended this event organized by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit. A number of entertainment activities, an Air Dog show and a Magic Show was conducted for the enjoyment of the kids who attended the event. In line with the celebration, SLAF SVU organized an Art competition two months before which was concluded at AFHQ with representation of a large number of participants. Winners were awarded the prizes and certificates during the programme.

The members of the SVU, children who represented other Bases/ Stations, Base Commander SLAF Base Ratmalana Air Cdre PDKT Jayasinghe, Officers of the Base and Airmen also witnessed the event.
