The Change of Command at SLAF Station Katukurunda took place yesterday (22 August 2023) and the Traditional Handing/Over Taking Over Parade was conducted at the Station premises. The acting Commanding Officer Wing Commander PNJ De Silva Bsc (Def Stu) in Mgt, officially handed over the Command to Group Caption MP Abeywickrama USP.

The newly appointed Commanding Officer, Group Captain MP Abeywickrama assumed office amidst religious blessing and planted a tree to mark this memorable day. 

The outgoing Commanding Officer Wing Commander PNJ De Silva will take over the duties as the Commanding Officer at Aeronautics Research and Development Wing at SLAF Station Katukurunda.
