THE TICKET LAUNCHING CEREMONY OF “WAYO ON WINGS” LIVE IN CONCERT

The Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit officially launched the ticket for "Wayo on Wings," a fundraising concert aimed to empower the capacity of the “Husma” project. The event, set to be a musical extravaganza, promises to give wings to the charitable initiatives of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit.
The ticket launching ceremony, held at Air Force Headquarters today (17 November 2023), was graced by the presence of the chief guest, Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa and other distinguished guests, which included senior members of the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Air Secretary, Group Captain Pradeep Piyarathne, Chairman of the Concert Organizing Committee, Air Commodore Deepal Munasinghe and senior Air Force Officers. Notable personalities from the music industry, Mr. Sangeeth Wijesuriya of Wayo and the manager of Wayo, Mr. Dumith Thilakarathne, added glamour to the event. Moreover, representatives from associated partners, including TV Derana, Beyond Solutions, Scope Cinemas and Tickets.lk, were also welcomed as integral contributors to the success of the concert.
During the ceremony, the Secretary SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Squadron Leader Viludani Yatawara, shared insightful remarks, shedding light on the significance of the fundraising effort and its impact on the community.
Following the opening remarks, the official launch of the concert tickets took centre stage. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa, had the honour of presenting the first tickets to distinguished individuals who made early purchases. The Director Legal of SLAF, Air Commodore Sureka Dias, Air Commodore Chandana Geethapriya, Commanding Officer of Air Force Hospital Colombo, Group Captain Sujeewa Alwis, Wing Commander Ijeshe Chandrathilake and Wing Commander Ruwan Gunawardena were the privileged recipients of the inaugural tickets.
The live-in concert will be featured on 23 December 2023 at the Nelum Pokuna Indoor Theatre from 7 p.m. onwards.
