The Electronics Section and the Works Section were inaugurated today (08 January 2024), at the Air Force Guwanpura premises, under the auspices of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa. The opening ceremony saw the Electronics Section unveiled by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the SLAF, Air Vice Marshal Waruna Gunawardane, while the Works Section was opened by the Director General Constructions Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Udula Wijesinghe.

This project, designed and executed by the Directorate of Constructions Engineering, includes essential facilities intended for the efficient operation of the SLAF Station Colombo.
