122 Gunners who successfully completed the 21st Gunner Advanced (TE-II) Course passed out from SLAF Station Palaly at a ceremony which was held on 1st September 2011.

During their 16 weeks of extensive training, they were focused on Drill, Weapon Training, Small Arms & Heavy Weapon Live Firing, Jungle Survival and Guerilla Warfare. The course also entailed the learning of skills and subjects such as Leadership, Intelligence Gathering, Aid to Civil Power, Model Briefing Skill Development, Air Power, Combat First Aid and Basic IT Knowledge.

Commanding Officer SLAF Station Palaly Group Captain Athula Kaluarachchi graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was followed by an awarding ceremony to appreciate outstanding performers of the course.

Corporal Edirisooriya EMAR was adjudged the best All Rounder of the No. 21 Gunner Advanced Training Course.
