Sri Lanka Air Force Unit Batticaloa celebrated “World Children’s Day” with the children of BT / Valayaravu Methodist Mission Tamil School on 1st October 2011 .

A specially organized entertainment program was held for the children which started the proceedings for the day.   All students and teachers were treated to lunch after which the distribution of school books and utensils for kids of the school followed.

This event was coordinated by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Batticaloa, Wing Commander Ajith Wawegama who while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of protecting, and guiding children as a one team regardless of caste, creed and race for a better future of the country.
