SUCCESSFUL COMPLETIONS OF THREE-DAY LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

The Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa successfully completed three-day Leadership Development Programme from 21 to 23 May 2025. A total of 195 undergraduates from the Department of Accounting faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayawardenepura, took part in this initiative, conducted under the Leadership of Air Commodore DMR Dassanayake, the Commanding Officer of SLAF CTS Diyatalawa.
The programme was organized following a request from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura, the programme was facilitated by Officer Instructors and Other Instructors. Proceeding commenced with an inaugural address delivered by the Acting Commanding Officer Group Captain AKW Lakshman( Officer Commanding Training) and the training sessions were supervised by the Chief Instructor, Cadet Training, Wing Commander LRTPB Senevirathna.
Throughout the programme, the undergraduates engaged in a diverse array of activities, including Physical training, Team building, Motivational, Leadership and Confidence building activities,
These activities were designed to foster discipline, resilience, effective leadership and robust communication skills and one of the most memorable moments of the programme was the “Camp Fire”, which provided a lively and formal setting for participants to express their talents and connect with one another, fostering a spirit of unity and enjoyment.
Overall, the programme ended on a highly positive note, equipping the undergraduates with key leadership qualities, personal growth experiences, and lasting memories of their time at SLAF CTS Diyatalawa.
