The 60th phase of the "Guwan Mithudam" project was successfully concluded today (27 July 2023) at WP/MINU Sri Rahula Vidyalaya Kotugoda, by SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, under the guidance of the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Enoka Rajapaksa.
Approximately 742 students are studying in this school, where a drinking water system was installed in view of addressing the much-felt need for drinking water for their consumption and to fulfil the other requirements at the playground area. This project was initiated in April 2023 by the president of the Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala and upon completion of the project, it was handed over to the students by the present Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, Group Captain Uditha Piyasena.
The project was jointly funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, and was attended by the president of the Seva Vanitha Unit at SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, Squadron Leader Prasanthika Gayani De Mel (Retd), Officer-in-Charge of the Seva Vanitha Unit, along with officers, other ranks of the camp, the Principal, teachers and students of the school.
