Fourteen Airwomen graduated with National Vocational Qualification Level 3 certificates from both beautician and cake decorator courses at the graduation ceremony held today under the ‘SKILL WINGS’ programme, an initiative of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit aimed at empowering service personnel through vocational and professional development.

The newly constructed classroom building at Welamitiyawa Primary School, Galewela was ceremonially declared open today (28 May 2026) by the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe.

The Seva Vanitha Unit of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala conducted a Book Donation Programme for selected schools in the Minuwangoda Education Zone on 26 May 2026.

The Japan Lanka Friendship Association, with the generous support of Mr. Goto Hideaki and the visiting delegation, donated an ambulance, six scholarships for deserving schoolchildren and 200 pairs of spectacles to the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit today (27 May 2026) during a colourful ceremony held at Air Force Headquarters.

The Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit  successfully concluded its donation programme conducted in response to the impact of Cyclone Ditwa, extending timely and meaningful assistance to affected civilians and service personnel.
