The Sri Lanka Air Force Preschool at SLAF Station Sri Jayawardenepura celebrated Children’s Day on 01 October 2026 with a vibrant Art and Craft Exhibition and a Children’s Concert, providing an opportunity for the young children to showcase their creativity, imagination and talents.

The Sri Lanka Air Force Bakery at Guwanpura was further enhanced with the provision of a new bread-cutting machine and a dough machine, valued at approximately Rs. 1 million, funded by the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit Fund. The equipment was formally handed over on 01 October 2026.

As part of the “Skill Wings” initiative of the Sri Lanka Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, a special bridal styling workshop for SLAF beauticians was conducted on 02 October 2026 at the Chamway International Institute.

In line with the Sri Lanka Air Force’s continued commitment to community service and environmental conservation, the Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake conducted a beach cleanup programme at Browns Beach, Negombo, on 24 September 2026.
