A community welfare programme aimed at assisting schoolchildren affected by the recent floods was successfully conducted by the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Sri Lanka Air Force Trade Training School (SLAF TTS), Ekala, yesterday (30 December 2025) at Pahala Madampella Primary School, Divulapitiya.
During the programme, essential assistance was extended to 30 students who were severely impacted by the floods. Each beneficiary received a ration pack, stationery items, water bottles, school bags and clothing, helping to ease the immediate hardships faced by their families. In addition, the school library was strengthened with a generous donation of 200 library books, contributing significantly to the enhancement of the students’ learning environment and educational resources.
The programme was organised by the President of the Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF TTS Ekala, Ms. Bhagya Thilakarathna, under the guidance of the Commanding Officer, Air Commodore Kolitha Abeysinghe.
