A house constructed under the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit was handed over to the family of Sergeant Wijenayake HAR yesterday (17 June 2026) and the housewarming ceremony was held at Ibbagamuwa - Kurunegala. The Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Krishanthi Edirisinghe, graced the occasion.
The project was fully funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, while construction was carried out by the Civil Engineering Wing of SLAF Base Katunayake. The initiative was implemented under the guidance of the Director Construction Engineering Personal and Planning, Air Commodore Dananjaya Amarabandu and supervised by the Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sigiriya, Group Captain Udara Andradi. The event was attended by the Director Construction Engineering Personal and Planning, Air Commodore Dananjaya Amarabandu Director Ranaviru Welfare, Group Captain Dayan Sumanasekara, Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Sigiriya, President Seva Vanitha Unit SLAF Station Sigiriya, Secretary of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Wing Commander Lilangi Randeni along with members of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, officers and other ranks of SLAF Station Sigiriya.
